Dune: Part Two Review

Chaotic review incoming! Wow, it’s been a WHILE since I reviewed a movie, but I’ve come out of hibernation to review the much anticipated Dune: Part Two. My initial impression of Dune: Part One was: ‘for a movie that is mainly standing around, it’s a masterpiece.’ Despite my lack of experience with the source material, and my lack of reason for loving the first, I knew I had to see the second instalment on opening night. Which is exactly what I did! I’m glad I did because Dune: Part Two is categorically better than the first! Read on for my full review, potential mild spoilers with a dose of chaos! Enjoy!   Dune: Part Two picks us where the previous finished, Denis Villeneuve giving us one  continuous story, no flashbacks or memory trickers included. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem are joined by Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, Christopher Walken and Anya Taylor-Joy, the perfect all-star cast. The films stands at the 2h 45m mark, ye

Frozen 2 Trailer Reaction

The first Frozen 2 teaser trailer was released today and omg! I haven't done a trailer reaction post before but I got so excited by this teaser that I just had to. Below is the trailer, so if you haven't seen it yet give it a watch and then read on for my reaction.

  • Okay so I first noticed the new darker tone - this is something we have never seen in a Disney Princess movie before and I love it.
  • Oh wow the new animation style is crazy good! It looks like Disney is changing up its animation style again (Last time they did this we got Tangled which is a spectacular movie).
  • The water looks crazy realistic.
  • Elsa has a new outfit which is so pretty (I love new princess outfits).
  • So before she gets to training in the water Elsa puts her hair in  a pony tail - I have said this for so long, when someone with long hair has to focus they tie their hair up - they don't leave it flying in the air as they fight aliens! So I shouted finally at my computer upon noticing this.
  • So Elsa's parents died at Sea, what if she's trying to find out what happened to them.
  • Will we get to see Ariel?
  • Elsa certainly has control over her powers now.
  • How much time has passed?
  • Anna has a new outfit too!
  • Awwwhhh look at all the Reindeers and Sven.
  • Ooh its Autumn - look at that awesome animation.
  • Where is that rock place Anna is fighting her way through - I don't like this.
  • Look at Elsa using her powers to save herself and Olaf from fire/gas?
  • Also this trailer is so pretty.
  • Okay so my guess is someone else has powers.
  • Who is that getting thrown in the air.
  • Yes an epic character line up shot and a camera spin that reveals a valley halfway between Winter and Autumn. A picture perfect moment.
  • No don't go into the dark shadowy woods - have they never seen a horror film or Pretty Little Liars?
  • I actually gasped when Anna takes Kristoff's sword and swipes.

Honestly this is a crazy engaging trailer, there is only one word: Elsa says 'Okay' and thats it. The music is great and uses notes from the first films score. Now to watch the trailer over and over again.

Frozen 2 made my list of most anticipated movies, check out this list here:
